据此前报道，在皇马vs马竞次回合比赛后，马竞方面向欧足联提交了四段视频，指控皇马球员的不当行为。其中包括：吕迪格对马竞球迷做出抹脖子手势、维尼修斯多次挑衅观众、塞巴略斯进入球员通道时做出粗鲁手势，以及姆巴佩面对马竞球迷触摸自己隐私部位。
如果欧足联纪律委员会决定对涉事的皇马球员施加禁赛处罚的话，他们将会至少缺战欧冠1/4决赛首回合客战阿森纳的比赛，甚至有可能缺战两回合。这无疑将为皇马带来重大打击。
《阿斯报》的报道指出，皇马方面正在积极应对此事，一旦受到处罚，俱乐部将提出上诉。这些球员可能遭受经济层面的罚款，并免受停赛处罚，但这一切还需要由欧足联纪律委员会做出决定。
