比利时门将库尔图瓦因伤缺席了去年的欧洲杯，并发文炮轰当时的比利时主帅特德斯科，表示如果特德斯科继续执教比利时，自己就不会再回国家队。
比利时队上个月官方宣布主帅特德斯科下课，鲁迪-加西亚接手球队，他称赞库尔图瓦是世界上最优秀的门将，这也为库尔图瓦的回归打开了大门。
